I see that this site states emphatically that Elizabeth de Louches is the mother of Alice de Camoys; but for the life of me I cannot find evidence - do you have any definitive source? I see different sites stating "definitively" one and the other. After several days of research (seriously) I chose Louches as the first wife of Alice's father (as she is said to have died young) and Elizabeth Mortimer as the second wife and mother of Alice Phililippe de Comoys - because Elizabeth Mortimer has a Phillipe as either a Mother or a grandmother - so it would make sense for the name to be passed on; also the years seem to match, as Mortimer married first Percy and then deComoys - according to other sources.
Can you please try to set me straight or confirm my findings? By providing source material?
thank you in advance = Karen

Wikipedia quotes the Dictionary of National Biography, which is linked to also in the sources on the profile.

So do you think that Alice is not really Alice Phillipe de Comoys? Most online sites list her with this middle name; but not all; the Phillipe seems to come only from the Mortimer side. I'm curious about this too...

Since people did not have middle names in this place and time, I'm guessing not.

thank you

Her fields are locked with her place of birth as Usk, Monmouthshire, England. However, Monmouthhire is in Wales:

The town was incorporated by charters granted by Edmund Mortimer, Edward II, Edward IV, and succeeding monarchs.[9] Its location meant that it was inevitably frequently caught up in the border disputes between the English and the Welsh in this section of the Welsh Marches.
