It is clear from this person's numbering (he is b9c3d1e6, but his father is b9c3) that something went wrong. I suspect a horribly wrong merge occurred.

(The "Pieter Daniel" is also incorrect. Also refer GISA's SAG. He was merely "Pieter".)

The 4 Aug 1782 Drakenstein (Paarl) baptism is here:

Pieter was indeed the son of Francois Rossouw, b9c3 and Maria Margaretha Rossouw, but the numbering here is wrong.

Shew, that took all day to figure out:

Francois Josua Rossouw had two ‘Pieter Rossouw’ descendants who could have married Maria Magdalena Russouw:

1. A son, Pieter Rossouw b 1782, by his second wife Maria Magdalena Rossouw.

2. A grandson, Pieter Daniel Rossouw bap 1790 (s.o. Francois Roussouw & Elsje Marie Hugo) by his first wife Margaretha Hugo, Rossouw.

[This is first having already eliminated Francois’ other grandson, Pieter Daniel Rossouw bap 1789 (s.o. Gideon Rossouw & Johanna Susanna De Nikker) due to his having simultaneous kids with another woman Anna Sophia Rossouw Cilliers, b2c13d2e4f3)]

Piecing together the children, using baptisms & death certificates, it seems that Maria Magdalena Russouw?through=6000000013476198131 married Francois’ son by his 2nd wife, Pieter Rossouw (1782 – 1859).
This 1782 Pieter remarried Anna Maria Hendrina Roussouw Cilliers.
At the time of his death, he had over 10 children, including another Pieter!
