I live in the UK and have seen a copy of the page of 1624 Winwick church register, for birth deaths and marriages.

This entry reads-Humphrey Atherton-Wigan (which means he came from there)
Mary Kennion- Istius (I think Latin for this place)
29th March 1624

Also as the page begins with entries for April 1624 and ends with entries for March 1624, I think the true date of this marriage would be 29th March 1625.

In England at that time the new year started on Lady day 25th March, it did not start on 1st Jan until the year 1752.

Yes I think the profiles for Humphrey and Mary should be changed.
