Mary Frost, was tried at Thetford, Norfolk, March 1789, sentenced to 7 years, and arrived at Sydney on the `Neptune' of the Second Fleet. She went to Norfolk Island on 7 August 1790

* mother Anne Frost (1713-1763) " was made by Hilton M Peck who took the headstone record of Mary Peck née Frost at face value: 1847 - 96 = 1751. Colonial headstones are notoriously unreliable as to age at death. Elizabeth Lette, née Peck her eldest daughter would (and should!) have known better. Elizabeth (my 2g grandmother) would have been well aware that Mary and Joshua Peck registered children in Hobart VDL soon after their arrival from Norfolk Island in 1808, which would make Mary a mother at 58 or 59 a feat only achievable with modern IVF intervention. Hilton's linkage of Mary with Richard FROST is unjustifiable. I have a great deal of material on Mary and Joshua's descendants, and am happy to share. My email is neil.chick@iinet.net.au.
