Does anyone know if the earliest records for St. Barnabas Church are accessible online? If so, please share the link. I'm looking for information about William Cecil, of Prince George's and his family, hopefully for a marriage between William and his so far unknown wife, likely about 1690/1691. [Sorry tagging not working, please see William Cecil, of Prince George’s County]

"Probably a few years after 1692, when the first thirty parishes were established in Maryland, a small frame building was first erected on the present site of St. Barnabas Church" - http://stbarnabas.net/history.html

Also, since the marriage predates the establishment of the first 30 parishes, would marriage records be recorded in England?

Thanks!
Beth

I discovered that parish records are available on microfilm at the Maryland State Archives:
MSA SC 2667, SCM 1010-2 Transcript, parish register 1686-1777 and vestry minutes and accounts 1705-1773, prepared by the Maryland Historical Society.

Is anyone a member of the MD Historical Society and could access these records, or live near the MD Archives and could view the microfilm?

Thanks!

Sorry can't help. :(

thanks for replying, Dianne- Best, Beth
