See the two pages from a research book that I uploaded in the "Sources". The middle name Bruce is commonly known.

Bruce as a middle name appears in the About section only within secondary sources. The only primary source I found, the will, lists his name only as Robert Polke... no mention of Bruce. Based on this evidence, it appears that name Bruce has been appended without sources and perpetuated in secondary and tertiary sources.
