Anna Stackhouse

Private - see this discussion.

There isn’t evidence supporting This Agnes / Anna as the Agnes who was the daughter of the murdered Thomas Carr, of Etal and Ford

This is what’s known on Agnes & Anna Carr, who both married James Stackhouse;

http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~paxson/genealogy/csp/Stackhouse.html

    Still relying on Gene Stackhouse's research[2], which he identifies as "probable" and "not disproved", we'll start with James StackhouseC who married first Agnes CARR, the daughter of Thomas Carr. (See information on the numbering system used on this web page.) Agnes died, and on Christmas Day 1564 was buried. James then married in October 1567 Anna Carr, who may have been her sister (?). James was buried 28 January 1592. A word of warning: I have not done any of the research on James and his children myself, and am happy to receive corrections and additions.

I got into this yesterday when I got a notice about a duplicate relative (they are grandparents, so I am going to try and figure out).

However, all the sites I found with supposedly "detailed and sourced" is actually filled with errors if you read each profile. The most obvious in most is the mix up in the twin sons and who exactly married who ( and when they died).

I am ok with unblinking Agnes and Anne as sisters and from Thomas Carr. That was the profile already connected - They can always be relinked. I think there seems to have been 2 wives - maybe not sisters.

The more obvious errors are with the twin sons John and Anthony and their wives/kids. I am going to research into the parish records.

A couple of site that included them as sources don't actually show the people they say are included in the records.

I leave you to it. My interest was in getting these Carrs off the other Carrs.
