Col. John Flood - Wife Fortune Jordan Mills

Records on Ancestry shows that Fortune was born in 1622 and that she was the wife of Col John Flood Sr's son, John Flood Jr. Other records show Fortune as the 2nd wife of Col John Flood Sr. Can anyone verify which is correct? If she married John Senior, he was 50 years her senior!! I know they did crazy things back then with regards to marriages, but 50 years!!

I just went back to family trees my Dad, George Reaves & Uncle Harry Painter, did "years" ago....long before I joined Geni. They show that my direct ancestor through my father's mother, Mary Madison, was a Walter Food [1656...I assume "born"...5 years before his father's death] , son of Capt John Flood [from England 1610 as Capt of the Swan....died 1661] and Fortune Jordan Flood.
That son, Walter, might help pick which John Flood we're talking about, be it Col, Capt or Jr.
I've had those trees rolled up for a long time. Thanks for giving me a reason to have another look.

I have found a few other history documents that show it was indeed Col John Flood Sr That Fortune was married to.
It can be very confusing at times for sure!!
