later married William LANNE "King Billy"
* Sources attached - A royal lady - Trucaminni, or Lallah Rookh, the last Tasmanian aboriginal, has died of paralysis, aged 73. She was Queen Consort to King Billy, who died in March 1871, and had been under the care of Mrs Dandridge, who was allowed £80 annually by the Government for maintenance." The Times, Thursday, 6 July 1876; pg. 6; Issue 28674; col D

I have detached John Briggs and Truganini Lallah Rookh as the parents of Louisa Esmai Briggs

Louisa married John BRIGGS - she is not his daughter

There is currently no evidence that John Briggs had a relationship with Truganini Lallah Rookh - I will detach their marriage

This story covers the movements as they leave Preservation Island for mainland Victoria of the family of John Briggs, a half-caste Tasmanian aborigine and his two wives, Ann Munro, a stolen full blood native from Port Phillip, and her neice, Louisa Strugnall a half-caste, the daughter of her sister (name unknown) also stolen together with their mother and sold to Straitsmen James Munro and John Strugnall.

Need to remove Parents: John (Long Alan Tom) Thomas, Aborigine (1774 - 1860) & Nimerana / Nimeranna Woretemoeteyenner Pung Bung Margaret Briggs - Thomas (1797 - 1847) from Truganini Lallah Rookh... almost all sources say that she was the daughter of King Mangana, and was documented in newspapers of the day.
Oura Oura was said to be so closely related to truganini that they think that she is her mother but arent certain all that is truly known is that her mother was killed when they were attacked. I am currently trying to update some profiles with sources.
Kind regards - ara

I am unable to assist with the sources for most of these extra connections as I was only added as a manager by another manager, most of my own information is based on books by Lyndall Ryan, original texts from Oyster cove and documents from the archives. I can help with documents but I believe most of the acceptable ones have been added.

What I have is different, Nicermenic {first wife of Manganna} I believe was male, the book says... "The man, Nicermenic, fled when he was suspected of assisting his compatriots to raid stockhuts,", he is the aboriginal man that Fanny Cocherane claimed as her father, husband of Sarah (Tib) and he is the father of Adam

Hi ara Gadd, there are still a lot of impossible connections on these profiles. What might be needed is to review each one, add sources for the connections, disconnect the unsourced ones and then lock the profiles to stop unsourced profiles being added again.

Hi Leanne, I am endeavouring to assist you in this area (without removing as I dont feel comfortable removing other peoples work as it causes argument in some cases), this one (Nicermenic) is something I have gone over and over, I added all I could to the other profile to show why I have added him as a male (Adams father), without breaching copyright, and some of the old texts are offensive, or graphic. I know im slow at adding these sources but I am triple checking everything before i post to the public view and then i go back later and check and re check so, very slow at it. I wont add sources to a profile if the profile information is drastically different to save chaos and confusion but when I am certain, ive been putting notes in discussion. There are many profiles I would like to correct with sourced material but they are so dramatically different, i cannot add anything, Ive had posts removed and been shunned by family for trying to correct false information, hence why i do it this way.

This is the other Nicermenic profile I added sources to so you are able to review. Nicermenic (Eugene)

I mentioned in another discussion that there is a woman with a similar name, and there is another with a name that has the same ring to it but i worry that even mentioning these will cause them to be more impossible connections. I really dont think either one is Truganinnis mother. As far as I knew, her name is unknown and we only know her story through Truganinni, who referred to her simply as "my mother". I don't have a name for her mother in my tree for this reason so cannot offer an alternative that isn't impossible or just plucked out of theories.
