Incorrect GEDCOMS causing errors in the Australian tree

Ann Rose 1796-1857 had a common law marriage with Thomas Rose, Jnr, Free Settler "Bellona" 1793 1779-1869 from 1812. She did not marry James Rose II 1781-1841 in 1800 when she was 4 years old.

There appears to be no evidence that James Rose II 1781-1841 is the son of Thomas Rose, Snr, Free Settler "Bellona" 1793 and Jane Rose, Free Settler "Bellona" 1793

Thanks. I thought i was "seeing things" yesterday, where the matches i was finding in the surname lists, were coming up with the same manager. ;)

I would take extreme care with anything coming in from gedcoms with this particular manager. My guess is that they have taken various internet trees and connected them together into 1 tree but not done any reasonableness checking or matching to any sources. Many children born either before their parents or after the death of their parents. Baptisms after their deaths, census records in different countries. It is taking considerable time to disconnect and delete impossible events. Particularly as they uploaded multiple gedcoms with the same issues.

Her husband James Edward Mills died in 1831, so cannot be their father as they were born after he died
