There are a fair amount of Lamb families, unrelated to this “Lamb family of Maryland” (immigrant ancestor: Pearce Lamb)
Feel free to post a link in this discussion to the “tree top” on “other Lambs.”

Mary Polly Lamb I did several merges but I think she will need some clean up. She has a same named sister now
Stephen Lamm has some issues as well. The FS is wrong and has mother as Mary Polly Bui same age as the son Stephen so not helpful
My source is notes from Francis Loius Lamb. He died in 2009. See: https://www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com/memsol.cgi?user_id=124561
As i have previously said, there are about 150 pages. I can scan them (and should). If I save as PDF files, it will be too big. Suggestions please.
James Chapman Gieske for these profiles that you know are correct, can you add sources? That would be making a note or creating a document, attaching a link. The more we have the less likely for bad info or bad merges.
Erica Howton, how would he best handle the process of taking them from handwritten notes to applying them to a profile?
Is there someone tech savvy to explain or someone you recommend? What would you suggest?
James Chapman Gieske take a look around Geni. I have merged maybe a hundred profiles in Lamb/Lambe/Lamm. I have tried along the way to make a note or Discussion for some that have issues. This is one.
I think getting the duplicates out of the way helps to make it more clear where there are mistakes but merging almost always brings in mistakes so it is time consuming. Sources are important. I have merged the obvious ones and now trying to see what needs corrected
Take a look at this one? He is John Gale married to Barsheba and showing as father to James Wesley Gale but I see the FAG for John Wesley Gale Sr shows father is Rasin
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/104165172/john-wesley-gale So I am wondering if there is yet another John Wesley Gale. Cannot merge them without more info to differentiate them.
Nah James Chapman Gieske! Age is but a number and you probably figured it out quicker than most!
I think that Geni is an excellent place for these files and there will likely be a Lamb direct descendant looking one day if not already!
Flattery is a really good tool when it works, but in this case the reality is an issue. What this boils down to is that I have records that will end all the mistakes in the Lamb tree that I see, but I do not know how to share them and I am afraid of making more mistakes by attempting to correct myself. I need an agent!
"Age is but a number and you probably figured it out quicker than most!"
no flattery
I know that the curator Alex Moes gave you a suggestion on another Discussion here. I have not done that myself but will have to try.
What I really believe, James Chapman Gieske, is that there is someone who would love to be the beneficiary of your files but I am not a direct ancestor (granddaughter) as far as I am aware and it is not something that I would be a good candidate to be custodian or recipient. I would not have anywhere to put it.
Also, I think you were able to do what the curator Alex suggested.
As far as making corrections, if you run across some that need fixing and are not able to do it, just send a message to the managers FROM THE PROFILE or start a Discussion under the tab.
Also, make the corrections you are certain of and add sources.
We can help you with that as well.
I am still working in this area of the tree.
I do not see anything from curator Alex. I am going this alone now. I believe that I have settled the Hannah Lamb stuff through local Kent County MD records. The Lambs were prominent people and their records were kept in the churches and courts. Hannah was "complicated"! First, she has nothing to do with the Hannah lamb in Kentucky married to Dye. She was born in Kent Co. 9/2/1773 according to the county record. She was married 3 times. First in 1794 to Joab Alston, then his brother Abner in 1794, and lastly to William Atkinson on 10/19/1801. She lived and died in Maryland exclusively. The probate documents her last will and testament in Kent Co. MD in 1857. I have made the appropriate changes and added her various children.
James Chapman Gieske can you tag Hannah here? I do not see her in the Discussion so I do not know where to loo
There are 4 Abner Alston here in Geni right now: https://www.geni.com/search?search_type=people&names=abner+...
