It looks like the links on the profile of Robert Hawkins are duplicates of the MPd profiles for Sir Richard and Judith Hele.

There are two MPd parent profiles attached to Robert - Father Hawkins and Mother Hawkins that seem to be the correct ones given the information in the "About" section. They may be MPd "placeholders" until research can give a better answer. Looks like a question for Private User.

“ None of Sir Richard Hawkins' children settled in America - they remained closely tied to Devon. Claims to the contrary are trading on a similarity of name ("Hawkins" is actually very common) to create a Fictitious Pedigree.”

Notes from Richard Hawkins, II

Been here before. Lots of wannabe related to the Admiral. Same problem with the Drake emigrants.

First Geni associated me as a direct line descent of Adm. John Hawkins then that was reversed and they said, "Oops our mistake.. Personally I am not that interested in being a direct descendant of murdering scoundrel.
I have three Hawkins women in my direct ancestry two of them titled yet I haven't bothered to research them, I am a direct defendant of the Plantagenet line from Edward III and currently I am researching Edward IV being the father of Captain Robert Wells born 1484.
Yes I know Edward IV died April 09, 1483 but the gestation period of the human fetus is 280 days. That taken into consideration January 14th 1484 is a viable birth date to be considered with evidence pointing to Roberts mother being a de Welles and her husband disowning poor Robert as his son.
Then there is Bran king of Siluria who's wife is Anna of Arimathea daughter of Joseph of Arimathea,, Sir William Sinclair of Roslin, Alfred the Great, king Solomon all the way back to Noah.
That considered Adm. what's his name ain't so much.

You may be aware that Geni is a very active site, lively, gowing, subject to hourly revisions and additions and deletions and mergers. So don't be surprised when a direct line of descent changes. That's why you are here and not on a site with 20 duplicates.

Just a kindly note, hope to see you take advantage of all Geni has to offer, and give back accordingly.
