POINT ONE
Alexander King was a Coal Miner. This is confirmed by the death registration of his daughter Mary King, the wife of James Wyper, Coal Miner, who died at Barachnie in Shettleston on 20 October 1870.
National Records of Scotland, Statutory Register of Death for 1870, registration district number 622/2 (Shettleston), entry number 121

It follows therefore, that he was not the same person as Alexander King in Milton He was not a Coal Miner. He was the tenant at Motherwell Mill in Dalziel parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
POINT TWO
Alexander King has been identified as Alexander King in Milton who was the son of John King in Motherwell Mill and his wife Margaret Neilson
This is not possible, however, because Alexander King in Milton was not a Coal Miner and he married Margaret Hinshaw and not Mary Young
It follows from this that Alexander King, Coal Miner in Barony parish, was not the son of John King in Motherwell Mill and his wife Margaret Neilson
POINT THREE
In view of the foregoing I intend to disconnect Alexander King, Coal Miner in Barony parish, from the family tree of John King in Motherwell Mill and his wife Margaret Neilson
