Thankyou for writing this! I love family history and Ann Stace is me GGGG grandmother and I just could not work out what was going on with her! Such a fascinating woman!

Hi Tracy,
What line are you related through?
Ann Stace’s 1st Marriage
2nd Marriage
3rd Marriage
Would love to know, as this family has so many branches.
Regards,
Helen

Hi Helen!
Through her first marriage to William Aspley/Aspey Elliott, which I think you are, too, having such a unique name within the Hardy family!

I have come across some wonderful photos of Vincenzo Fazio on the Great Lakes Museum website, and in fact, read the sad story of his son's death, James Hardy Fazio as a Lighthorseman today on the Virtual War Memorial just yesterday. 19!

So;

My grandmother is Monica Beryl Hardy ("Beryl"),
daughter of James Adolphus Hardy,
son of Mary Ann Elliott (Hardy) Ann Stace's first child.

I could not work out how Ann Stace's life worked: and two days ago I sent away for her marriage certificate only to come across this! haha. So much wonderful information - I am an amateur at best and I am not sure I would have ever put that all together!

Kind regards, Tracy
