Lady Anne Taylor Swift (FitzWilliam) - Are Her Connections Correct?

I'm wondering about this Anne. The parents she's attached to had a well-documented daughter named Anne who married Sr. Anthony Cooke. There is nothing in the About section of this Anne documenting her or her connections. If there is documentation for this Anne (FitzWilliam) Swift being the daughter of Sir William Fitzwilliam, Alderman & Sheriff of London and Anne Fitzwilliam (Hawes), it needs to be put in her About section to eliminate any uncertainty. If there is no documentation, especially given how well the rest of the family is documented, it would be best to disconnect her from unproven family ties so the Geni pathways aren't incorrect.

I Googled and found very little on this Anne. In fact, her Find-a-Grave page:

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/150657613/anne-swift

doesn't list any parentage for her and makes it appear that Taylor was her maiden name. There is no hint at a FitzWilliam connection.

I did a little more digging and she was, indeed, born a Taylor - not a FitzWilliam:

(B) Robert Swift of Rotheram (Rotherham) (b 1478, d 08.08.1561)
m1. Anne Taylor (b c1473, d 1539, dau of William Taylor of Sheffield)

https://www.stirnet.com/genie/data/british/ss4tz/swift01.php

So her current connections are incorrect.

Likewise, Wiki shows her as the daughter of William Taylor:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Taylor-564

So, Find-a-Grave, Stirnet and Wiki all have her as Anne Taylor who married Robert Swift.

Someone will need to physically see Joseph Hunter's book. The citation on wikitree lists page 364 which does not exist in the 1819 edition or other editions as far as I can see. The William Taylor parentage seems sound but . . .?

Looking at just wikipedia we have errors in the children with both wives (Anne Hawes and Mildred Sackville) of William FitzWilliam. This article, citing - Richardson, Douglas (2011). Everingham, Kimball G. (ed.). Magna Carta Ancestry: A Study in Colonial and Medieval Families. II (2nd ed.). Salt Lake City. pp. 218–19. ISBN 978-1449966386.
has the following.

Fitzwilliam married first Anne, daughter of Sir John Hawes, alderman of London. They had two sons and two daughters:[8]

Sir William Fitzwilliam.
Richard Fitzwilliam, esquire, who married Elizabeth Knyvet, the daughter of Charles Knyvet, esquire.
Anne Fitzwilliam, who married Sir Anthony Cooke.[9] Anne was grandmother of the philosopher and statesman Sir Francis Bacon.
Elizabeth Fitzwilliam, who married Sir Thomas Brudenell.
Fitzwilliam married secondly Mildred, sister of Sir John Sackville (died 1557), and daughter of Richard Sackville, esquire, of Withyham, Sussex, and Isabel, daughter of John Digges, esquire. They had three sons and two daughters:[8]

Christopher Fitzwilliam
Francis Fitzwilliam
Thomas Fitzwilliam
Eleanor Fitzwilliam, who married Sir Nicholas Strange.
Mary Fitzwilliam, who married John Shelley.
Fitzwilliam married thirdly Jane, daughter and coheiress of John Ormond, esquire, of Alfreton, Derbyshire, and Joan Chaworth, daughter of Sir William Chaworth. They had no issue. Jane Ormond had previously been the wife of Sir Thomas Dynham (died c. 1520), and of Sir Edward Greville (died 22 June 1528).[7]

I worked on this for a little bit today. My notes are in the "About" section of [Sir William Fitzwilliam, Alderman & Sheriff of London within the first article from wikipedia.

Nice work!

Lady Anne Swift given to her real father.
