Jimmy,
My research in the Hardeman County, Tennessee probate and estate records leads me to believe that Judge Henry Cockrum is not the son of John Y. Cockeram, but rather the son of Jesse Cockeram.Jesse and John Y. are probably brothers from western Kentucky.Almost certain is that John Y. Cockeram's father was a Henry Cockeram.

The Tennessee estate records do not contain any dispersal of assets for either John Y. or Jesse. There are records of the estate sales for both men.Henry Cockeram did not purchase anything at John Y's estate sale, but did purchase a number of items at Jesse's sale.

I know that this is not conclusive.

My descent from Judge Henry is to Henry C. Cockrum, to William Monroe Cockrum, to William Frank Cockrum/Cochran to Lowell F. Cochran, to me, Frank Cochran.
