Hi there, Is there a connection? There is a massive gap in our genealogy and I'm wanting to try and make some connections to:

Name: James Crichton
Sex: Male
Birth: 30 June 1776
Glasgow, Lanark, Scot
Christening: 1 Jul 1776
Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.

Married to:

Name: Isobell Yuill
Sex: Female
Birth: abt. 1780
Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland, United Kingdom.

James Crichton was the son of James Crichton and Jean Graham. He was a Hammernan in Glasgow but I have not found any evidence that proves that he was the man who married Isobell Yuill. His father was also a Hammerman in Glasgow, but he was not the son of a burgess and may have been an incomer to the burgh. I have not found any evidence for the father's ancestry.
