John has two fathers connected.

Also, it has always bugged me that his wife and mother have the exact same name. I know it's possible, but it's still unusual. Anyway, Wiki has his mother as Anne, not Allice:

John Proctor was born about 1583 to John Proctor and Anne Greye and was baptized in 1586[1] in London, England.
