Here's some more background about grandson Grief. Also I found a record of the grandson's Tennessee marriage and added it as a source to his profile awhile back.

It appears that merge needs to be reversed.

circa 1778: "Suit by Grief Randolph, and Henry, Isham, John, William, Elizabeth, Anne and Maria Randolph, by the said Grief Randolph, their father and next friend plts. vs. John Archer, executor of Elizabeth Randolph, deceased, (for their legacies under her will)."
Same source as above, Vol 14 Iss 3 (January 1907).
This well-researched and documented Randolph Family genealogy also states that twin Grief was a son of Henry Randolph III and Elizabeth Eppes.

"Major Edmund Epes had issue, Mary, who married Grief Randolph before 1757; and in 1755 his widow, Henrietta Maria Epes, was guardian of his infant orphans: Henrietta Maria, Frances,
James and Anne."
"Historical and Genealogical Notes" is an article from The William and Mary Quarterly, Volume 5. (1896)

From this I gather that the elder Grief Randolph may have actually married "Mary" Eppes (not her younger sister, Henrietta Maria).
You all should continue on with wife & children.

Thank you, I'm currently working on getting the Randolph children transferred back over to their father, Grief, with Mary as their mother. They got swept away with her sister, Henrietta Maria. It may take awhile, but I'll stick with it until I get it right.
Initially, I think they are the following profiles. I'll double check these with our sources, one of which (the ca. 1778 court record) lists Henry, Isham, [Capt] John, William, Elizabeth, Anne and Maria Randolph:
Although naturally these Randolph branches could use some more tlc (including research and documentation) and regular maintenance, I think I at least have the original children back with their correct parents.
Thanks to both Debbie and Erica for bringing it to our attention and helping to get it straightened out.
