No source for d.o.b 1757 for CA Houman

It would be odd if they were not the same person. The Homan surname is sometimes written as Houman on some baptisms and even her death note, but both are definitely used interchangeably. There are also other platforms like FamilySearch where her alternative surname is listed as Hauman - though I'm not sure about the sources for this. I really think the Elisabeth on her death notice might be wrong - remember her real mother would have passed long before by this time. To add some more evidence, also look at the baptism of Hendrik Willem Ras, son of Marthinus Ras and Christina Adriana Homan. Michael -- I have Christina Adriana Weyers relatives from 1700 's in Germany . My sister Adri would have been Adriana Helena Weyers . Not all people with same names are the same . FJ van Rensburg two cousins born same year and died same year . Caution.

I agree Phillip, wise words for any family researcher to heed. Let's see where this discussion goes. Hoping we will be able to solve it.
