Managers of Sir William James Cole, III, of Enniskillen,

I am contacting you about this profile: Constantine's Dad

I am in process of building my family tree on Geni and I am asking that Daniel Cole be added as a son of Sir Wm Cole III but it has been locked.

Can someone enable me to complete my tree integrated with the world wide tree as Geni is designed to do. Why are locks put on profiles that are not complete?

Sincerely,

Ruth G

Private - this was a false path for you, I think.

Can you describe more the Daniel Cole you’re interested in, and his child?

This is an Ancestry goof. All the profiles shoe this relationship but it might well be a false path. I did more research and found the book Descendants of Elisha Cole. My Daniel came to Plymouth where the three Coles appear: Job, John and Daniel. There is no clear path from Elisha as their father so I thank you for the caution. I see that there are several matches out there and the unproven last name for Ruth so I changed mine from Collier to unknown and sent a message to one new member whose profile shows the Chester last name and suggested he change it so it v
Can be merged into the master profil.

Thank you so very much for the very careful work you have done to preserve the records of our ancestors many who sacrificed so much for future generations.

This Daniel Cole of Eastham then. No Irish gentry here.:)

The parentage of the 3 Cole brothers who came to America (Job, John, and Daniel) has been proven and published by William E. Cole last April in Mayflower Descendant. That article is available at www.passionategenealogist,org entitled "The English Origins of Job, John, Daniel and Ruth Cole."
