Ann Clapgut (Claypool?) - Not a Quaker!

Don't pre-judge Ann Clapgut, she married a very prominent man, that was Episcopalian and a member of The Church of England.

Judge William Thomas Budd was the one family member that returned to the Church of England/ Episcopal Church Religion.

This is very well documented, Judge William Thomas Budd and his wife Ann Clapgut Budd are buried buried near the center of St. Mary's Episcopal churchyard. His monumental inscription reads: "This is in memory of William Budd of Northampton Township who Dyed March ye 20th Anno Domini 1721-2 aged 73 also Ann his wife who Dyed Sep. ye 30th Anno Domini 1722 aged 67." Their Children were all baptized and have records from the Episcopal Church as well.

I was confused for awhile about the Budd's because I link thought with the Bingham linage, they were of high social status in Philadelphia and Episcopalian for generations as far as I found records.

We need to research her background, but not as a Quaker. She was not a Quaker, but Episcopalian.
