Alexander Ray came and went from Maryland and left one son Alexander. He did not list any other sons on entry to MA. He did not stay in colony or colonies. I would like to see the proof that they are related as many who lived during the 1900 born in 1800's do not list Alexander as related let alone a father to Wm. Ray. If you have proof of Wm. Ray having brothers such as a John Ray then please post it as many have reviewed the wills etc. along with land records and no connection so far has been found. There were many John Ray men who entered Ma about the same time. William first entery is about 1685 in Ma. I do not think he was born there unless he was the son of John Ray or one of them. He could not be the son of Alexander Ray as the ages do not work out at all. If you have documents of proof please make available to prove Wm. is the son of Alexander and brother to Christmas Ray as the later does not show up in the earliest genealogy done in early 1900.
