JOHN [I] Stewart of Darnley, son of ALEXANDER Stewart of Darnley & his wife Janet Keith of Galston ([1360/65?]-after 10 Feb 1407). His parentage is confirmed by his mother’s 11 Dec 1406 charter cited above. His birth date is estimated very approximately to [1360/65?] from the estimated birth dates of his descendants, bearing in mind that he was born from the second marriage of his mother who was probably born in 1336 or earlier as noted above.
The name of John’s wife is not known.
