It looks like this Thomas Young has been conflated with the orginal Thomas Young, son of Hugh and Ann Beggs Young...

Thomas, son of Hugh and Ann, was born in Ireland and died in Augusta County, Virginia...

This profile seems to have evolved over time to have added subtantially different dates and places and we don't have any good sources...

I think we need a curator intervention - since the relationships are locked around Hugh...

I propose the this current Thomas Young profile and his wives and descendents just be disconnected from Hugh and Ann - and we just add back a new Thomas based on what Find A Grave has...

If anyone can come up with some better sources that show this is currently correct - please pass them along...

That would basically orphan this Thomas Young - but I don't think we've really got any good sources for his parents as it is now....

I find it very frustrating when people merge profiles "willy-nilly"/at that slightest suggestion. Some of them are *clearly* not the same people. {Genealogy vent/sorry/thanks}
On a more pragmatic note, I wonder if anything can be done about this? I have used other software that tipped you off *before* you created a new entry/person that it might be a duplicate of an existing entry/person and did you want to examine the existing entry so as to avoid duplication. Not a panacea, but valuable IMO.
