Rabbi Akiva Yehosef Schlesinger - Relation to R' Akivah Eiger

?

What's not clear is the relationship between Rabbi Akiva Yehosef Schlesinger to R' Akivah Eiger the Elder. They are definitely connected - but the path on Geni showing a connection via Rabbi Simcha Bunim Ginz Schlesinger (Rabbi Simcha Bunim Ginz-Schlesinger) can't be correct.

In Bris Olam (link - https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000192698895822) Rabbi Akivah Yehosef Schlesinger makes clear that R' Bunim Eiger Rabbi of Mattersdorf was a cousin or uncle of some sort - not an ancestor.

In אור ישראל שו"ת by R' Yisrael Schwartz (https://tablet.otzar.org/#/b/621858/p/1/t/1678870577750/fs/0/start/...) p. 639, he suggests that the connection was as follows:

his mother → Rabbi Akiva Eger, the Elder

(It seems a few trees in MyHeritage copied this from him, or got it from the same place).

In the profile of Tzvi Dov I, D.Z. wrote:

"In the sefer Ilonei Yachas - Circa 2005 by Betzalel Berenstein, he notes that R' Tzi Dov Margulis the first's father R' Mechel Leib Margulis couldn't be a descendant of Reb Akiva Eiger The First because the years don't match, he was before R' A.E. the 1st."

I haven't seen that book, but it makes sense:

R' Simcha Bunim (grandson of R' Akivah Eiger I) was only 3 years old in 1768, so his "grandson" (R' Tzvi Dov I) couldn't have been signing documents that year...

The remaining options for this connection seem to be:

Option I:

Hannah Chava Sheindel Schlesinger-Margulis (wife of Tzvi Dov II)

Option II
Miriam [?] Schlesinger (mother of Tzvi Dov II)

I haven't seen any data proving the first name of these people, and certainly not the family names, so there's is plenty of room here to explore.

(it has been suggested in אור ישראל שו"ת (same page) and on some trees that the family name of Miriam [?] Schlesinger was Ulman and that she was the daughter of Izidor Israel Ullman son of the יריעות שלמה. But this makes no sense given the years.)
