I have stumbled onto this.
Katherine (Maiden name unknown) Kennedy (from her first marriage).

That her 1st husband Thomas Kennedy is also my 16th Great Grandpa, Making Katherine my 16th GGma. (right).
Ok, her 2nd Husband Sir Wallace (who is my 17th GGpa) makes Katherine (?) [Kennedy] - My 17th GGma too! -

How Crazy is this? So, what I am figured out, Her 1st Husband comes from my Father's Father's Mother's side. And her 2nd Husband from my Father's Father's Father's side of the family.

I am guessing this is why it comes out that she is my 16th GGma.
Ok here and even CRAZIER things. I also have a 16th Grandma (10 apart from b-day) named Catherine Kennedy. (but their parents are different).

So, it would be nice to put a maiden name to Katherine's name.

I hope any family out there in the world can help me with this. Thank you - Laurie.

Her maiden name was Kennedy.

Daughter of John Kennedy, 2nd Lord Kennedy and Elizabeth Montgomerie

So the maiden and her married name are Kennedy. How is that, was she related to her own husband? I am so confused.

It’s not so unusual for cousins to marry, although they should have has a papal dispensation.

If Geni has it right, her father, John Kennedy, 2nd Lord Kennedy was the brother of Sir Gilbert Kennedy her husband Thomas Kennedy, 3rd of Bargany father,

Notes in profile “about” -

Marriage by contract dated 15 Sep 1465

By Lesley Marriage contracts were often made when children were born, mainly to secure or retain a title or lands in the family, and often cousins or widows of title or land bearers. so you will come across marriage age below 14years.

You can also double check at the source references

PS Scots women didn’t use married names, they retained their father’s surnames life long.

Katherine Kennedy is my fourth cousin 14 times removed.
