Seite 255 steht: Graf Ded (Comes Dedi), Sohn Dietrichs de tribu Buzici. Weiter unten, Buzici sind die Nachkommen der "Buz".

Graf Ded (Count Ded), son of Dietrichs of the Buzici tribe. Further down: Buzici are the descendants of the "Buz".

If I understand correctly, that means that the person's name is Count Ded Buzici (Buz) from the House of Wettin.

You have them here.

Burkhard III, count of Wettin

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burchard_III,_Duke_of_Swabia

Burchard soll zweimal verheiratet gewesen sein: In erster (historisch nicht belegbarer) Ehe mit Wieltraut aus der Familie der Immedinger; aus dieser Ehe sollen fünf Kinder hervorgegangen sein:

* Bertha
∞ Waldered, aus der Familie der Immedinger
* Dietrich I. (Dedi) († 13. Juli 982), möglicher Stammvater der Wettiner
etc.

He could then be the same as
Dietrich, Graf im Hassegau

Hello Ulf
I have seen the entries on wikipedia.
I do not contradict this. The text of the book mentioned says that Ded, son of Dietrich, is a Buzici and comes from the house of Witin (Wettin?). The Buzici are the descendants of the Buz, of which there were other people in the Land of Saxony.

Disconnected from

Dietrich I von Liesgau, Graf von Liesgau

Thietmar of Merseburg, Bishop, chronicler, was the one who says they were of the one and the same family. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thietmar_of_Merseburg

Dedo I von Wettin, Markgraf von Merseburg is your 24th great grandfather.
Burkhard III, count of Wettin is your 26th great uncle.
Dietrich I, count in the Hassegau is your 25th great grandfather.
Dietrich I von Liesgau, Graf von Liesgau is your first cousin 26 times removed.

According to Thietmar, Dedo was "of the lineage of the Bukkonen" and a relative of "Markgraf Rikdag"[247]. This is repeated in the Annalista Saxo, which says that Dedo Graf von Merseburg and his father Dietrich were from the "tribu que Butzieci dicitur"[248]. This family relationship has not been traced. Posse indicates that Dietrich Graf [im Hassegau] was the son of Dedi[249]. https://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/MEISSEN.htm#Dietrichdied1034

Do any of the above texts give primary evidence we can use?
