Richard John Holmes - Incorrect relationships

We were showing this man's parents as John Lyon, 7th Lord of Glamis and Alice Holmes -- but per Douglas's Scottish Peerage, vol. II, pp. 563-564 and John Lyon's entry in the Dictionary of National Biography, John's only wife was Janet Keith, and they only had three children: John, Thomas, and Margaret.

Would any 1500s England specialists like to help take a crack at figuring out the details on this man, and maybe who he belongs to?

Yay, the matches refreshed -- before, manual refreshing was still giving me assorted bad trees showing John Lyon, Alice Holmes, and/or Alice Cooke as parents. (And, as it turns out, there's no documented noblewoman named Alice Holmes or Cook/e in that era who would even serve as a maternal fit.)

I'm not convinced the tree down from Richard is without glaring error, either. I stumbled upon him through an illogical back-from-Virginia path. I might have to stay up even later to explore more. :)

Found Richard’s parents. He was named in his father’s Will.
