Wilma Greyling - unavailable to reply for the next month says about Catharina Maré, PROG

I don't now this profile at all. BUT - we had Christian Frederick Prins https://www.geni.com/people/Christian-Frederick-Prins-Chris-or-Fred... tested for his full dna (my lifelong quest to get to answers about the F E Prins O' Brien S/V PROG

ie Frans Edward Prins, (b. O' Brien) SV/PROG saga) and this is what came up:

Christian's mtdna was pulled up from his profile, to Catharina Mare's profile and she is now his 2nd eldest known female ancestor, a lady which we did not know anything about!

I am very new to dna interpretation - but this should be able to help us to maybe get to some answers about Catharina - I would hope? Your valued opinions please?

cf Private

Wilma, where does he link back to Catherina? His mtDNA takes him back to Susanna Louisa Elizabeth Sanders on geni.

His Y chromosone will not tell us anything about Catherina Mare, I'm afraid.

If you can build his motherline back further, that would be so great.

Thanks for creating the discussion dear Sharon . I think however you have his son here . He is a dr . This Susanna Greef is his grand mothers mum, . Unless I am very wrong ! Let me go back and re check. ….

This is the profile I had tested: ( NIcknamed Chris or Fred)

Christian Frederick Prins (Chris or Fred)

This is his son who is a dr. : Private

Sorry typo: The way I see it is:
Susanna Louisa Elizabeth Greef is Dr Christian Frederick Prins' grandmother!

Just saw something weird: Why does the link I have put in for my test profile Christian Frederick Prins * 1937 - take you to my own profile, above here in the discussion? Does it show up like that for you as well?

Sharon - Can you see in my first comment (where that first link I have put up for my dna test profile *1937, wrongly takes you to my own profile - weird!? Why is it doing that?

This is the dna test profile : (Nicknamed Chris or Fred)
Christian Frederick Prins (Chris or Fred)

His mtdna was propagated up to Catharina Mare .

So this is what I have :
Dr Christian Frederick Prins
→ Christian Frederick Prins (Chris or Fred)
his father

and:
Dr Christian Frederick Prins
→ Joan Victoria Sanders
his mother → Susanna Louisa Elizabeth Greef
her mother

Mitochondrial DNA Ancestors (of 13 generations up to Catharina Mare ) 2nd oldest known female ancestor of Christian Frederick Prins *1937 (Chris or
Fred) and another man in Russia : Эмин Гусейнов, that I have contacted:

This is the man in Russia's link - who' dna is in the same group:

Emin Guseinov

Obviously the dna is the mtda of both men.

Christian Frederick Prins (Chris or Fred) is Frans Edward Prins, (b. O' Brien) SV/PROG's third great grandson.
Frans Edward Prins, (b. O' Brien) SV/PROG
→ Frans Edward Prins
his son → Frans Eduard Prins
his son → Daniel Prins
his son → Christiaan Frederick Prins (Chris)
his son → Christian Frederick Prins (Chris or Fred)
his son

This relationship path has been confirmed by DNA testing.

All my male Prins family members's Y dna up to F E Prins ( O'B rien) S/V PROG, is in the Y dna haplogroup : R-BY177153 and this discussion is about the female mtdna of my test profile - which is :

mtdna J2b1

It is the Mitochondrial DNA Ancestors of Эмин Гусейнов and Christian Frederick Prins (Chris or Fred) * 1937

So what do you think Sharon?

Oh - I also want to know:
why did Geni not propagate the mtnda of Catherine, up to her mother Anna Thekens: Anna Elizabeth Thekens

Christian Frederick Prins (Chris or Fred) *1937 - is Joan Victoria Sanders' husband.
Joan Victoria Sanders
→ Christian Frederick Prins (Chris or Fred)
her husband

Susanna Louisa Elizabeth Greef is Joan Victoria Sanders' mother.
Joan Victoria Sanders
→ Susanna Louisa Elizabeth Greef
her mother

Private User Why don't you come in and also give us your valued thoughts, her dear June? Thanks!

Sorry typos - my eyes are still recovering !

This is not something that I have any depth of understanding in and so I can't offer any valued contribution I am afraid - sorry Wilma Greyling - unavailable to reply for the next month - my mtDNA is U5b 150T 16224C 16270T 16311C 263G 279C 517T 73G but I haven't been able to link those to my profile.

Thanks June! I can try and help guiding you, if you want ? I struggled myself to do it . Not easy ! Took me forever! I am still quite new to the dna side of things . , it is so interesting, but a very high learning curve . . I saw your contribution to her profile, in the other discussions, helping to pinpoint her relations etc - you did so well , as always ! I do not know her profile well yet. Will study that in a while . I am trying to help Christian Prins . Thanks .

Hi Wilma Greyling - unavailable to reply for the next month - Indeed your post makes sense when applied to the father. Sorry for that.
