Cynthia Curtis, A183502, US7875087 - it’s not my decision, she’s your relative, not mine. I can only advise suggestions.
1) your key is her birth date. Either she’s born say 1734 or she’s born 1767.
2) Richard Jones https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Jones-17695
His will was dated 19 August 1778, and it was probated in the October Court 1778. Age: 59, 1778, Nottoway Parish, Amelia, Virginia, United States
Imprimis first after my just debts are paid I lend unto my loving wife Elizabeth Jones the following slaves, Viz: Jack, Stephen, James, Jane, Nan, Stewart, Cuff Stewart & John Stewart, also the land and plantation I now live on, it being a tract of four hundred acres, during her natural life & at her decease the aforesd salves and their future increase, to be equally divided between my children Margaret Jones, Elizabeth Royall, Sarah Jones, Rachel Jones, Thomas and William Jones to them and their heirs forever, and the aforesaid tract of land to my son William Jones to him & his heirs forever …
Which means:
- he had a daughter Sarah unmarried in 1778
- so this Sarah Batte cannot have been Batte Abernathy’s mother
However, it seems clear from DAR that Miles Abernathy had a wife “Sarah Ann Jones Goode”.
So my suggestion is for you to set up a first wife as mother of his children.
The alternative is to disconnect Sarah from parents.
