by his first wife, Elizabeth, he had Betty (b.1710), Winnifred (b.1712), Hester (b.1714), and William (h.1716).

By his second wife, Mary, he had Margaret,(b.1722), Anne (b.1724), Thomas (b. ? ), Mary (b. ? ), Priscilla (b.1732), and Travers (b.1735). NFPR, p.67, AB 1, p.166.]

Silent was named in her father's will dated 1703, she was not yet 16 years old at the time, thus her birth could not have been before 1687.[1] Silent married two men, Thomas Jeffries and Thomas Simpson. A 1711 deed named "Thomas Jeffereys and Silent Jeffereys his wife, " [2] Thomas Jeffreys was dead by 1736 and the men tasked with dividing his estate between his widow and orphans listed children as Ann, Catherine, Silent, Elizabeth, and Thomas. [3] When her second husband, Thomas Simpson died in 1756 he appointed his "beloved wife Silent" as his executrix. [4]
