The MP'd profile for Col. Charles Fleming is currently locked with a death date of Exactly October 07, 1717.

That is not his death date, but rather the last date he is known for sure to have still been alive (on that date Charles Fleming and wife Susanna sold to the heirs of John Woodson 500 acres of their property south of James River above Fine Creek, still to be laid out. See Henrico County (VA): Wills and Deeds, 1714-1718, pp. 207-208; viewable at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89P6-SLP2?i=134).

It is possible that he was still alive on 12 July 1718 when a Charles Fleming (either him or his son of the same name) was granted 1430 acres in what then was Henrico County on the north side of James River (Virginia Land Office: Patents, vol. 10, p. 378; viewable at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSKW-V76F-X?i=394). It is further possible that he was still alive on 3 Dec 1719 when the land of a Charles Fleming (either him or his son of the same name) was ordered to be processioned in St. Paul's Parish of New Kent County [today's Hanover County] (C. G. Chamberlayne (ed.), The Vestry Book of St. Paul's Parish, Hanover County, Virginia, 1706-1786 (Richmond: 1940), p. 261; viewable at https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/401060-the-...).

The first date on which our Charles Fleming is known to have been dead is October (no specific date) 1720, because at the October meeting of Henrico County Court John Fleming, acting as executor of Charles Fleming, deceased, appeared in a debt collection case (Henrico County (VA): Court Minutes, 1719-1724, p. 50; viewable as 6th entry on left-hand side at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS4K-4L38?i=40).

Thus, the date of death for Col. Charles Fleming should properly read BETWEEN 7 October 1717 and October 1720.

Thanks!
