Hello Sharon,
Forgive me for being a bit nit-picky :)
I have been looking at the Progenitors/Stamouers that shows Francois Viljoen as arriving in October 1670 with a question mark, on an unallocated ship. This page records him as the first Huguenot in October 1671. Should the dates be made consistent?
Should Jean de Long be added to one of the unallocated ships in 1685?
Many thanks for the wonderful work you and the team do for all of us.
Best wishes,
Stef

Could it be that Francois Viljoen came to the Cape on 11 Oct 1671, having departed Texel on the ship 't Huis te Velsen?
Stef

Hi Stefanus. Thank you. Will you remind me to come back here over the weekend when I have time to look and researcch?

Digging a little deeper it looks to me (although I happily bow to those with more knowledge and experience than I have!) that the ship left Texel on 11th October 1671 and arrived in the Cape in 1672.

Will do Sharon _ in the meantime I added the Huis te Velsen as an arrival based on the Huygens resource quoted above.
Have a good evening.
