You have identified John Hamilton of Allanshaw as the father of John Hamilton, the man who married Janet Young in 1717, (On the date of his marriage John Hamilton was the servant of John Burn of Brumbletown, a place in Hamilton parish), but you have not brought forward any evidence which proves that the child born in 1691 is the same person as the man who married Janet Young in 1717. In doing so it would appear that you have ignored all of the record evidence presently available for the family of John Hamilton and Janet Young.
