Where was he born?
The only Robert I've been able to locate was born in remote Deering, Hillsborough NH/ To John and Mehitable.
I only infer that the John is John Bliss Corliss, Sr.

In order to confirm that I have the right John Corliss, I wanrted to make certain that there was not another John living in Hillsborough County at that time. SO.. I went on Ancestry dot com and looked for all Corliss family in Hillsborough Co., retricting the searach to 1790 +/- 10 years.
Here is what I came up with:

Their son John was born 5 DECEMBER 1763 in Weare.
So this John of Weare is very likely the father of the Robert Corliss in the birth record.
I will now have to look elsewhere for the Robert Corliss, son of John Bliss Corliss, Jr. who died in Orange County VT
