Removed the spurious knighthood.
The profile on Geni shows a birth of 1548, so I need to understand the references at Wiktree that shows him a generation earlier and with so many children.
To do that, I'm going down the tree to the immigrant to America and looking at those sources, and then back up the tree.
If you can pick out the proof of a 1528 birth and first marriage in the meantime ...
Since Wikitree does not in-line source "about 1528", It's probably estimated on another estimated date: the est. of birth year for daughter Rachel (Colman) Gale, whom Wikitree shows b.ca.1548.
The question really is whether Edward was twice married. A sourced date for first marriage may never astutely discerned. However, the marriage date for daughter Rachel (Colman) Gale on 4 Jul 1569 (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Colman-750 – cited source Find My Past) is probably the crux of Wikitree's estimates for parents.
I uploaded the study that shows the first wife and all the children (Geni is missing most):
Note that this is recent scholarship (after The Great Migration Begins, which reported a spurious origin for Edward):
Sourcing for first marriage:
Alice Wincoll was the daughter of Roger Wincoll of Little Waldingfield, Suffolk, England. [1]
Her father Roger died in 1559 leaving a will as of Roger Wyncoll the elder, clothier of Little Waldingfield, Suffolk. He bequeathed £20 to "the children of Edward Collman, clothier of Great Waldingfield and his wife, my daughter". [2]
She died in 1563 being buried at Great Waldingfeild, Suffolk 2 Jan 1563. [3]
