I was born on 30th December 1955 to Thelma and Steve Bekker. My parents divorced when I was an infant and I saw my dad on a handful of times when I tracked him down to his home in Braamfontein, Gauteng. I relocated to the USA in 1997 and my Dad apparently passed away around that time. I had contact with my aunt Julia Delport (nee Bekker) in Bedfordview for a while until she passed. She was married to uncle Ben if Memory serves me well.She and Maks sent me a picture of my dad and my grandparents, but I still don't know their names or origins. I have been trying to track down my roots for years now and have only managed to compile a tree on my maternal side. I'd dearlt like to put names to my grandparents from dad's side.
