I was hoping to show someone a link to John Steinbeck today, but couldn't see Eleanor Barnard/Morse in Samuel's children.

Does anybody know what happened to her? If the link isn't sound, OK, but I had a lot of interesting stuff further down this line from GeoLarson2:
- Steve Fossett,

- Allen Drury,
- Erle Stanley Gardner,
and especially
- Rita Hayworth!
Can I have Eleanor back?

the profile was updated so I guess it changed the name :)

Although I don't know why that would affect it. But when I clicked your link I couldn't get to it. But when I went to Samuel Morse's profile there she was.

Sorry Laura, I fixed it a little while ago, somehow she had been divorced from her parents and last name changed.

Thanks to all - good to have Eleanor (and especially Rita!) back. (I was especially tickled to read about the recent film 'Me and Orson Welles' (he was one of Rita's many husbands, alongside the Aga Khan) starring Clare Danes, another Morse descendant:

however, John S isn't yet linked back in, apart from a much earlier connection. Seems to be a problem in the Barnard area - can't tell yet whether it is duplicate profiles or (maybe) two different wives.
