TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN CORRECTING THE WIVES OF GOV. ROBERT TREAT, GOVERNOR OF CONNECTICUT 1683-1698
Gov. Robert Treat had two wives: Jane Tapp and Elizabeth Powell.
Elizabeth Powell was married and widowed twice before she married
Robert Treat.
She married a Hollingsworth and a Bryan.
These names have been mingled so that it looks as though Gov. Robert Treat
had many wives.
If this could be straightened out, I would greatly appreciate it.
My Myers Family tree has a rainbow of about seven lines connecting to all
these many versions of the names for Elizabeth. ......all the same person.
If this could be corrected it would be great.
It appears that merges are in process, but not completed.....since I still have
so many Elizabeths attached to Gov. Robert Treat.
