He looks like an ancestor

I've seen this before ... he does look like the Kornfelds that I know .... maybe it's just the hairline ...

that's funny, I was just thinking about asking if anyone else thought this was a typical Kornfeld look! The first time I saw the picture in a library in Prague, he just looked so familiar somehow.

Look at the profiles of the men in my family tree -- Henry Kornfeld, Werner Kornfeld (not so much), Dr. Josef Kornfeld .... maybe I'm imagining it, but ...

It's hard to tell just from the pictures. I'm sure you would know better if you have seen them in person. Several people in my family agreed he had "Kornfeld look" in this picture. I figure with the amount of intermarriage in the family, the amount of DNA that my own grandfather shares with Aron might even be comparable to what it would have been if Aron had been his first uncle rather than his third. Perhaps we should consider the resemblance an argument for the proposition that Bernard = Mordechai Baer? :)

That's probably going too far! Also, I realize that Aron is probably a half-sibling of my ancestor Moritz -- they have different mothers I believe. Although, 1) the amount of intermarriage is astounding and 2) the males in my family seem to have the dominant genes and really do resemble each other in generations going forward ... I wish there were more pictures ... whenever you feel comfortable, I would love to see more pictures of your family, but I understand if you don't feel comfortable posting them just yet.
