I've located at least three duplicates of Edmund:
Unknown Profile
Unknown Profile
Unknown Profile
The catch is that, collectively, they have 174 descendant profiles, 16 ancestors (!), and god knows how many collateral relatives attached, so merging those into the MP is going to require a *ton* of additional merging.
So, how do we want to approach this? Pick one profile at a time to merge in, and then maybe split up the subsequent merges?
There is a Rice Family Project here, we should use that, perhaps.
This is the MP for Edmund Rice:
I think we should merge together the "other" Edmund Rice's, correct them, and then merge them into the MP.
Sometimes I use a second / temporary MP to keep the good one clear.
Will also get started helping you, Ashley. I worked on this line before.
Edward rice and wives are now one ... That wasn't bad at all. I added some more source documentation / overview notes while I was at it.
Now continuing down the line and ready for you to jump in. I'm pursuing Silas rice, who was stolen by Mohawks and married in; and the Graves line, as that is one of my direct lines.
I found a cool story in PDF format about Silas Rice among the Mohawk -- apparently there's now a passel of Mohawk Rices -- so if you haven't seen that yet, keep an eye out for the upload.
Compared to a year ago the Rices are positively neat and organized now. It's more about documenting and training newbies to "request co-management" I think as they find their Rice roots.
