Around 1438 a Sir Christopher Talbot is rumoured to have had an illicit affair with a Fitzwarin daughter. The outcome was an illigitimate child called Edward Talbot alias Sprynget. Sir Christopher was the 3rd son of the 1st Earl of Shrewsbury, Sir John Talbot. Christopher died in 1443 defending Caus Castle in Shropshire owned by the Stafford Family. Sir Christopher was also English Champion at Tilting.
Edward and his offsprings are later known to have resided in Brianes Manor, Wantage, Berks.
