I've heard several ppl refer to her maiden name as "Hightower" but don't know where they found her maiden name. Is there proof of this? I'd love to know if there is!! I've also heard rumors that she was of Native American descent (possibly due to her very unusual given name, which actually comes from the Bible), but I also was wondering if you know anything about that??
Thanks!

Sincerely, Patti Hamilton orangeblossom17@gmail.com

Some one attached her to the Hightowers with no proof other than the Hightowers were in Brunswick, the Orange. I obtained a rather extensive genealogy of these people because my 5th great Aunt Sally Dean Hightower married into that family.

Whether or not there is a similar name in the Bible means nothing. Just because my name is Thomas amd its in the Bible, it does not make me a Jew. Remember, Pocahontas had a sister named Cleopatra, did not make her Egyptian.

Oholabamah Ashcraft (born Hightower)

My Heritage. The place to be.

That is bad genealogy.

This is correct, with no Oholobama.
Thomas Charnold Hightower, Sr

My Heritiage --- has 20 researchers, at least, giving the parent an Charnel Hightower.
What should be done?

I am not a descendant of Charnal Hightower but I have seen many Charnal, Charnel Hightowers born various birth dates anf most likely connected to this line.
I know several researchers have worked on this tree often. You all should connect with the curators and managers.

Kind Regards,

Jamey

Oholabamah Ashcraft is Native American according to the research of Mary Elmore. Her prescence in the census was as tithable, a FPOC and my line from her moved into Chickasaw territory. Still working on the reason why, but my line from her married into the Alsbrook and Cook thought to be Chickasaw and where/why I match DNA with the Colberts.

My gedmatch is UJ9343921. I have a theory she my be my 5th great aunt. Perhaps a sister to my Joseph Hightower. I believe this because one of my 4th to 6th cousins have her listed and she could be his sister based on the time frame. I cant find alot on him though.
