The father of my great great grandmother, Julia Ann Cantrell Smith.
Aaron Cantrell was born October 2, 1799 in Spartanburg District, South Carolina to James Cantrell and Margaret Peggie Saunders.
He had ten siblings: John Cantrell, Nancy Cantrell, Son Cantrell, Sarah Cantrell, Henry Cantrell, Rebecca Cantrell, James Cantrell, Zebulon Cantrell, Margaret Cantrell and Elizabeth Ann Cantrell.
He married Temperance Brand Davis in 1838 in Spartanburg District. They were blessed with three children: Frances Cantrell Smith, Julia Ann Cantrell Smith, and James R. Phillip Cantrell.
He died in 1885 in Mill Creek, Whitfield County, Georgia.
