Aaron Cock Alias Peckham was Born on 28 Apr 1765 in Cholesbury,Buckingham,England.
Newspaper reports state that on 1 Jan 1787 he was arrested and in gaol for stealing Several Horses. whereas the 17 march 1787 reports he was sentenced to death for stealing a silver table spoon. This sustenance was reprieved. In another newspaper report on the 17 March 1787 it states someone else stole the table spoon and he stole a mare. In the last newspaper report found dated 12 March 1787, Winchester 10 March 1787, States he had stolen a mare from William Hatch at Eling and for stealing at a Bay mare at Bartley in the New Forest the property of Isaac Sign.( all newspaper reports in media)
NSW convict records state he was convicted 6 Mar 1787 at Winchester, Hampshire, England. and sentenced to Transportation for 7 years. He departed Hampshire, England in Dec 1789.. Ships log records him as Aaron Cock [Aaron Peckham] Vessel, Surprize in the Second Fleet:
About 1803 Aaron commenced a De Facto Relationship with Sarah Chapman
29 Dec 1810 Aaron Peckham was appointed a constable in Sydney; listed as Packenham The convict muster in 1825 states he was found dead on the 30 March 1825 Sydney.
