Abigail Griswold

7812.4. Abigail Hand was born in 1668 in East Hampton (Suffolk) New York, and died 18 Apr 1747. She married 30 Nov 1696 in Wethersfield (Hartford) Connecticut, Jacob Griswold, son of Thomas Griswold (1646-1718) and Mary Howard (~1650-1718). Jacob was born 5 Feb 1674/75 in Wethersfield (Hartford) Connecticut.

Abigail and Jacob had nine children.

(probably) his Ist wife's sister, Rebecca Stratton Bushnell; she m. 3d., 1694, John Meigs of Guilford, Conn. Stephen Hand 2 had ch.: Stephen 3 b. 1661, Joseph 3 b. 1664, (who rem. to N.J. and d. 1713), Samuel 3 b. abt. 1665, and five daus., probably Abigail 3 who m. Nov. 30, 1696 Jacob Griswold of Guilford, Conn.; Elizabeth 3 b. abt. 1668-72, d. 1711, (who m. Daniel Osborn 3, s. of Thomas and Mary Bond Osborn; Daniel m. 2nd. Nov. 3, 1712, Elizabeth, probably dau. of Stephen Hedges); Sarah 3 (who m. Thomas Howell of Bridgehampton), Esther 3 (who m. Samuel Mulford), and another.
