For 70 yrs Abigail was supposed to have been named Bengs, Benger or Beanes, because in a real estate deal Benjamin called William Bengs his brother-in-law, but the latter was without doubt the husband of Benjamin's sister Elizabeth, and his family is named in the census of Flushing in 1698.
