Abigail Carman was born about 1670 in Hempstead, Nassau, Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of Caleb (1 Jul 1639- before 7 Aug 1693 ) and Elizabeth Carman. She married Jonathan Pine about 1685, and they had a son Jonathan Pine in 1687. Her husband Jonathan died on 17 Dec 1694. Her death date is uncertain, but It is often recorded as on May 19, 1732 in Elizabethtown, Union, New Jersey. Burial: St. John's Episcopal, Churchyard, Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Will of Jonathan Pyne of Cape May, dated 14 Dec 1694, recorded 2 Mar 1694/95, mentions son Jonathan and daughter Abigail "as they shall Come of Age", "Child unborne", "my Loueing wife Abegall pyne" [sole executrix] and "her two Children" [i.e., sounds like from a previous marriage]. Friend Joseph Holden and "My Loueing brorther in Law Jonathan forman" to be overseers. 19th of Jan 1694/95, appointed "Abigall pine, Widdow & Relict of Jonathan pine, Late of Cape May, as administratrix of his Last Will & testament". Inventory taken 1 Jan 1694/95.
