Biography
Abigail Holmes was born July 6, 1746, the daughter of Peleg and Abigail Holmes of Kingston, Plymouth, Massachusetts[1] [2]
In 1762, she moved to Yarmouth Nova Scotia with her family.
On December 16, 1763, she married Cornelius Rogers , the son of Benjamin Rogers and Phebe Harding of Kingston, Plymouth, Massachusetts, who moved to Yarmouth the same year as Abigail's family[3]
Their children included:
Deborah, born October 1, 1764, who married Captain Elkanah Clements, son of John, and died November 6, 1849[3]
Abigail, born March 9, 1766, who married Robert Durkee son of Phineas[3] John, born January 28, 1768, who married Dorcas Horton, daughter of Levi, then married Hannah (Crocker) Ellis, widow of Ezekiel, and then married Lydia (Bartlett) Kinney, widow of Thomas, and who died December 8, 1850[3] Lydia, born May 4, 1771, who married Nathaniel Saunders son of Joseph, on June 19, 1794[3] Hannah, born October 21, 1772, who married Captain Amos Hilton son of Amos Hilton on April 4, 1790, and who died November 26, 1866[3] Cornelius 2nd, born February 26, 1775, who married Martha Horton, daughter of Levi, and died December 6, 1845[3] Benjamin, born May 22, 1777, who married Deborah Crocker, daughter of Daniel on January 28, 1801[3] Elizabeth, born January 23, 1780, who married Sealed Landers 3rd, son of Sealed Landers 2nd[3] Sarah, born August 26, 1782, who married John Trask 2nd, son of Thomas[3] These sources don't provide death information for Abigail
